About Amrita Bhinder

I am an alumna of the Lawrence School Sanawar, Panjab University and the Indian Institute of Management– Ahmedabad. I was the legal head for an American conglomerate and have over 15 years of experience in the legal arena ranging from Supreme Court, Tribunals to consultancy and corporate. As a personal achievement of sorts, I have overcome many debilitating medical problems such as Type 1 Juvenile Diabetes, Portal Vein Thrombosis and Neurological complications since childhood and I was an athletics and chess championship throughout my school life. My winning streak continued across the length and breadth of my professional career where I did not hold back from actively practicing litigation to mitigate risks for big corporate houses and small litigants representing them from the lowest district court to the Supreme Court of India. Being a witness to the transformation that India is undergoing, I decided to give up my 9 to 5 corporate job and volunteered to take an active part to bring change in approach to democracy, which is willing to engage in polity in a friendly and multi-dimensional manner for a New India. To achieve this dream, I recently forayed into active politics as the State Spokesperson for the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), Chandigarh. I am actively involved in the one of the largest youth political organization of India and partnering to provide a platform to young talented youth to serve the Nation and to evolve our democracy with Indian values and culture.

   Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), is one of the largest youth political organization of India. BJYM provides platform to young talented youth to serve the Nation, to flourish our Indian values, culture and to evolve our democracy. Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha is constantly working and endeavours to encourage the youth.The concept of Integral Humanism has a special place in its ideology, with the party aiming to transform India into a modern, progressive and enlightened nation which draws inspiration from India’s ancient Indian culture and values. Being the youth wing of the BJP, BJYM mainly focuses on the issues related to country’s youth. BJYM believes in empowering the youth and giving them a platform where they are engaged and their aspirations and sentiments are reflected in the policies of the BJP.
