ABOUT AMRIT KAUR

With over a decade of experience in customer service management, recruitment, operations, and project coordination, I’ve built a career rooted in connecting people, building relationships, and creating systems that support both individuals and organizations. In 2023, a serious motor vehicle accident required me to step away from my professional path to focus on recovery and personal well-being. What began as an unexpected pause became a profoundly transformative chapter. During this time, I focused on healing, building resilience, and reassessing what truly drives me. It became clear that I wanted to use my voice, experience, and empathy to make a different kind of impact—one centered around community care, inclusion, and support. I began volunteering, facilitating conversations around mental health, and helping people—especially newcomers and isolated individuals—navigate healthcare systems, access local resources, and feel a sense of belonging. These experiences led to my current role as a Community Connector, where I work on the ground with residents, organizations, and cultural communities to: 🧠 Champion mental health awareness 🤝 Support individuals in navigating healthcare and social systems 🧡 Promote Truth and Reconciliation through respectful dialogue and education Help newcomers find support and community Reduce isolation and foster belonging I may not be fully back to my former capacity just yet—but every small step is part of my journey back into the workforce, with renewed purpose and clarity. I\'m passionate about lifelong learning, inclusive leadership, and creating spaces where people feel seen, heard, and valued.
