As Director of Agile Minds Coaching, I design and deliver coaching engagements for individuals, teams, and organisations, with a strong focus on empowering women in STEM and supporting leadership growth. My work draws on a unique blend of academic research, professional coaching, and over a decade of Agile and technology experience.My practice includes- 1:1 coaching for professionals at all levels, supporting career transitions, leadership development, and personal growth- Provide group coaching and workshops, including experimental programmes for female engineering managers to build networks, share experiences, and grow together- Partner with organisations to develop people managers, shifting from transactional management to growth-oriented leadership- Support organisational change initiatives, applying Agile principles and coaching techniques to create environments where people and teams can thrive- Actively build collaborations with women-led businesses, retreats, and leadership programmes to expand access to coaching

ABOUT ALICIA PARKES
I work with individuals and organisations to help people step out of autopilot and dedicate time to their own growth and development, creating space to think deeply (I’m a big advocate of Nancy Kline’s Thinking Environment). A particular passion of mine is supporting women in engineering and technology leadership roles, helping them build confidence, navigate challenges, and thrive in environments where they are often underrepresented.My focus areas include- Coaching women in STEM and leadership: Building confidence, resilience, and empowerment- Leadership and people manager development: Helping managers move from transactional oversight to growth-focused leadership- Career transitions: Supporting individuals through periods of change, uncertainty, or progression- Organisational coaching: Drawing on my Agile background to create environments where people and teams can flourishI’m an ACC-accredited professional coach and Agile coach with over a decade of experience in the technology sector. I began my career in tech, supporting engineering teams and leaders to adopt Agile ways of working, and completed my PhD exploring the influence of leadership on Agile adoption. I’ve since built a coaching practice that blends this background with a deep commitment to empowering women in STEM.I bring a unique combination of academic rigour, lived experience in technology and Agile coaching, and professional coach training. I bring this blend of expertise to help organisations develop and retain diverse talent, particularly women in STEM.
