Key Duties:Designing and developing concrete mix designs tailored for specific engineering requirements, including conventional and alternative cements. Preparing mortar, paste, and concrete specimens for mechanical and durability testing. Optimized alternative cement mixtures suitable for Reinforced Concrete 3D Printing, contributing to the advancement of sustainable and innovative construction technologies. Contributed to high-quality data collection and analysis that supported the mechanical, durability, and microstructural characterization of new cementitious materials. Enhanced the research team’s capacity to design tailored concrete solutions for specific structural and sustainability requirements.

ABOUT AMOS KANYERE
I am a self-motivated Civil Engineer with a strong academic foundation, practical experience, and demonstrated leadership in engineering, project coordination, and student governance. I am committed to excellence, continuous learning, and the application of engineering principles to real-world infrastructure projects.I graduated as the top-performing student of the Class of 2013, earning two distinctions and seven credits, and gained early exposure to major projects by volunteering on the documentation and reporting of the Tokwe–Mukosi Dam in Masvingo Province, Zimbabwe. I later graduated as the best student of the Class of 2016, achieving seven distinctions and seven credits. During this period, I led a student team in the design, planning, execution, and commissioning of a spiral (helical) staircase showcased at the 2016 Mutare Polytechnic College Symposium, enhancing my skills in structural design, project coordination, scheduling, and quality control.I have over seven years of professional experience in civil engineering, including six years as a Civil Engineering Technician collaborating with professional engineers. I contributed to multidisciplinary design teams, executed technical tasks with precision, prepared and interpreted engineering drawings, and supported projects throughout development. These experiences strengthened my technical expertise, attention to detail, and ability to deliver high-quality results under strict deadlines.I have also been actively involved in leadership and governance. At NUST, I participated in student politics as a member of the Zimbabwe National Students Union (ZINASU) and served on the campaign team that supported the election of the SRC President for 2018–2019. My goal is to contribute to impactful, innovative civil engineering projects while advancing my career globally.
