ABOUT ASHLEY MOREIRA

We live in a sea of stories (Bruner, 1996). Some bring people together. Others quietly pull things apart. I have spent my career paying attention to that difference.I am an educator and scholar-practitioner with a doctorate in Professional Leadership. My work centers on organizational storytelling, narrative sensemaking, and culture change, and it is grounded in daily practice inside schools and classrooms. Education is where I study how language, values, and lived experience shape behavior and belonging in real time.As an educator, I design curriculum, lead collaborative work, and create learning spaces that make invisible stories visible. I pay close attention to whose voices are heard, which narratives are reinforced, and where tension shows up between what an organization says it values and what people actually experience. These questions sit at the heart of my doctoral research, where I developed the Institutional Narrative Dissonance Cycle to explain what happens when institutional stories lose alignment and trust begins to erode.I bring together research literacy and practical insight. I listen carefully, ask questions that slow people down, and help translate complexity into language that feels usable and true. Whether the setting is a classroom, a school, or a mission-driven organization, my focus is the same. Story shapes culture, and culture shapes what people believe is possible.I am open to opportunities that value thoughtful communication, ethical leadership, and purposeful change.
