About Amol Joshi
My primary interests are in the intersection of the fields of mechanical engineering and computer science. I work on a research and innovation program at TCS that focuses on leveraging digitally captured knowledge on which algorithmic reasoning can be done while orchestrating analysis over data, modeling and simulation tools, analytics, and machine learning, along with mathematically driven decision support systems for better engineering decision-making for product design, manufacturing, operations, or service impacting core engineering decisions. My primary expertise is in physics-driven modeling, simulation, and optimization of engineering systems. My recent interests include the usage of Generative Design principles in early-stage product design.
