I was always intrigued by the idea of so much propinquity between technology and business that I wanted to explore this vast universe of business-tech. I got a perfect opportunity to do this when I got a chance to work for Deloitte Consulting which helped me to better understand and shape my interests. And to further hone my skills, I got a Masters in information technology and Management at University of Texas at Dallas.I was a Business Technology Analyst specializing in cloud ERP solution ‘NetSuite’. I was mainly into the technical plumbing works (by plumbing I mean customizing workflows, importing legacy data into the ERP system, SuiteScript programming to facilitate customers’ needs) to make the flow of business processes as efficient as possible. One of the other facet of my role was to integrate this ERP solution to various third party application so as to make them talk to each other without any manual intervention through various web services.My quick learning and team skills helped me tremendously to learn the tools and techniques, interact with professionals and gain an in-depth know-hows of the business world. Outside of the work I would like to go camping, hiking and running. This helps me to get out into the world, explore and also push myself to the limit. I always heed the advice from the movie- The pursuit of Happyness, ’If you want something, go get it. Period.’ (Yes, I also watch a lot of movies).
