About Amod Tilak

I work as a field based medical advisor with Borhringer Ingelheim for the ThromBI division for the west zone. Interactions with the cardiologists and neurologists along with scientific support for the therapy area are the important aspects of the job description. I completed my MD in Pharmacology in Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, one of the premium institutes in the country. During three years of the post-graduate currirculum i have presented various seminars, case presentations, and various paper and poster presentations in national and international conferences. I was actively participating in the pharmacovigilance programme under the PvPI in KMC Manipal. I have done a two month internship with Merck Biopharma Ltd, India from June 2017 - August 2017 under Dr. Bharat Mahajan with the medical affairs team. During the internship, I helped the team with various presentations, reference citations. Also, I underwent training with regulatory affairs department and the pharmacovigilance team with Merck Biopharma. I have worked as a medical officer in rural hospital Chauk, Khalapur, District Raigad for a duration of one year July 2011-July 2012. I used to take care of OPD, IPD as well as minor surgical procedures. During one year, I have conducted a lot of normal deliveries and dealt with various medicolegal cases including post-mortem analyses.
