Equity Domain Model (EDM) EDM is a strategic low latency stateful system capable of handling a large volume of trading data (Orders & Executions) and maintaining its complete lifecycle. EDM consumes messages from Trading System (Order Management System), processes and distributes to multiple downstream users in real-time. The downstream users use trading data for various business purposes and for compliance & regulatory reporting. This highly robust and scalable system uses Flink as stream processing, Kafka as middleware, Java as business logic, and DB2, HDFS as final persistent. Trading data is sourced from the Trading system and persisted to the middleware system Kafka. Flink pipeline processes these data, transforms them into Equity Domain Model, applies the business rule, and persists to DB2 & HDFS. The Projection pipeline processes these data, filters out and categorizes them based on different business groups, and distributes them to downstream systems for settlement and reporting. Responsibility: Playing a key role in end-to-end design, development, and implementations as well as handling all equity post-trade business-related enhancements in the APAC region.
