ABOUT AMNA BIBI

I am currently a PhD researcher in Chemistry at the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom, where I am conducting my research in the \"Wheatley Research Group\" at the Yusuf Hamied Department of Chemistry.I previously earned my MPhil in Chemistry with Distinction from the University of Science and Technology Bannu, KPK, Pakistan. Throughout my academic journey, I have been honored with Gold Medals for securing first position in both my BSc and MSc degrees in Chemistry. After completing my Master’s degree, I secured a position as a Lecturer in Chemistry in the Higher Education Department KPK through the KP Public Service Commission. In addition to my teaching responsibilities, I served part-time as a Research Assistant at the University of Science and Technology Bannu. Overall, I have more than eight years of experience as a Chemistry Lecturer, with expertise in Analytical Chemistry, Nanomaterials, and Sensing Systems.My current research focuses on developing eco-friendly, low-cost portable sensors for the detection of toxic ions and biomolecules in water, with potential applications in environmental monitoring and healthcare diagnostics.
