About Ammad Sheikh
Social Capital Theory and Social Reproduction Theory guides my vision and purpose for developing career services in higher education. My purpose is to bridge the gap between the haves and the have nots through workforce development and economic opportunities. I want my students to start thinking about their 3rd job after college and how the first and the second one can get him/her there. Career education is about finding your purpose and how you want to contribute to the world around you. When I meet people in their working environment, their passion or lack of it often shows within the first few minutes. It is fun to be around people that like their jobs and careers.
