Lead the FP & A - Engineering Ops function to provide financial support to the CTO in achieving targets for Lightspeed Program delivery• As the key financial contact, I support the CTO and Head of Lightspeed Operations with budgeting, as well as conducting financial reviews and analyses comparing actuals to budget and forecasts.• Capital Expenditures: Analyzing variances between actual spending and budgeted plans, estimating costs to complete projects, and providing financial strategies and solutions to help projects stay on budget.• Expense Analysis: Examining expenses by cost center, identifying reasons for any deviations from the budget or forecast, and proposing potential mitigation strategies, including all Engineering and Operations financial KPIs, on a monthly basis• Monthly review of Engineering and Operations results to ensure accruals are recorded promptly through monthly pre-close meetings with key department heads• Lead Post-close meetings to confirm that the rolling forecast accurately represents the group’s anticipated activities for the next 12-18 months• Collaborate with Accounting Operations to identify and implement capital project tracking and analysis tools• Capital Expenditures: Managing cash flows by giving the Treasury insights into the timing and magnitude of significant milestone payments for effective cash flow management• Coordinate the annual budget process along with consolidation of inputs from all departments as well as produce packs for annual budget review with the CEO and approval by the board• Produce capital expenditure financial evaluations to both support the approval process and subsequent tracking of expected versus actual returns for significant, new procurement projects, including the impact of change orders on existing projects and expected returns• Maintain/update the Long-Term Financial Plan, Budget and other ad hoc forecasting analyses
