Project: Ottawa Light Rail Transit stage 2 confederation line extension.The Kiewit-led consortium—comprising Kiewit, Eurovia, and VINCI—is responsible for the design and construction of the Stage 2 Confederation Line extension, one of the two major components of Ottawa’s Light Rail Transit expansion. While the city’s Trillium Line is already in advanced stages of construction/ delivery under a separate contract, this project focuses on a 27 km extension of the Confederation Line—14.5 km to the west and 12.5 km to the east—with 16 new stations (11 in the west and 5 in the east). The scope also includes a new Light Maintenance and Storage (LMS) facility, 3.4 km of cut-and-cover tunnels, and significant highway widening and structural works.Design engineering services are provided by WSP Canada and Hatch partnership.
