Throughout my acads, I seized opportunities to engage in quizzes, debates, extempore speaking, Model United Nations, and a diverse array of extracurriculars.My interests within the professional realm revolve around sustainability, sales, SaaS. Thereby being uniquely suited to work in the ‘commercial sustainability’ and \'climate-tech\' space. The dynamic world of startups draws my attention immensely. An eternal student, I\'m inquisitive and hungry to garner cross-functional knowledge, be it finance, technology or law. From a sectoral angle, aviation and shipping captivates me the most.In my leisure hours, I sweat out on the squash/tennis court or sharpen my mental muscles with chess and the Rubik\'s Cube. I do enjoy creating content on LinkedIn too, pollinating grains of sustainability. Lately, I\'ve been delving into the intricate concepts of asymmetric leverage and systems thinking. An avid reader, I find solace in flipping the e-pages of my kindle. 1. Sustainability Advisor - Sales Enablement

   Quite an interesting designation, isn’t it? The supply chain giant has 6 sustainability departments and Commercial Sustainability (COMSUS) is where I get my hands dirty. It\'s an outward looking function that falls under the sales and marketing umbrella.Being in the role that I am makes you do a PhD in stakeholder management. My main dealings are with these teams: Energy Transition, Tender Partners, Public Affairs, Legal and Regulatory, and Sustainable Procurement.The day to day responsibilities includes extracting insights from our customers\' logistics emissions to devise bespoke scope 3 reduction strategies aligned with SBTi. And then, spearhead conversations to align their decarbonization roadmaps with our suite of offerings. The feedback drawn is then communicated to guide the in-house tech arm to scale and diversify existing/novel products for emissions reduction in sync with GHGP, and GLEC accounting methods. My portfolio spans 38 of the Fortune 500 and 8 global freight forwarders.An interesting element of my job is devising engagement plans to reduce the sales cycle, improve NPS, aid in contract renewals & minimize churn. Developing GTM strategies (customer persona, pricing model) for testing our pilot projects (blended green fuel, electrified rail) is a personal favorite. Further, I’m part of a 4 member team that performs greenwashing due diligence of our potential partners in aviation cargo.Miscellaneous activities include: 1. Training and sensitizing sales colleagues to navigate sustainability centric discussions with SMEs. Aid in crafting sales collaterals and knowledge papers to highlight Maersk’s decarbonization solutions. Address queries pertaining to Maersk’s sustainability profile against floated RFIs. For ex. SECR by the Govt. of UK and JOSCAR by a defense consortium.
