As civil Engineer would be working on a NYC DDC and NYC DEP project from start to close-out. The project involves the installation of Best Management Practices (BMPs), environmental planting work, nine chambers and new storm and sanitary sewers and water main replacement. This project is initiated to eliminate severe flooding and creating four BMPs. Also, new sanitary sewers are provided to eliminate existing septic tanks and existing sewer in very poor condition. Perform field inspection and analysis of infrastructure projects. responsible for supervision of contractor, inspection of daily work performed, and assisting in reviewing and creating engineering drawings as needed. responsible for ensuring required construction work is properly executed, completed in a timely fashion and conforms to the requirements of the construction documents, safety protocols and to good construction practice. Participate in field reviews and data collection and analysis, studies and forecasting. Collect, assimilate and manage data for engineering or construction work such as to perform quantity take-offs for development of engineering estimate. Perform in-depth research to develop recommendations for approaches, concepts, materials or equipment selection. Assure that drawings, calculations and designs are in accordance with company production and design standards and strengths, follow Quality Assurance and Control procedure.
