While tackling the formidable challenges of this largely unorganized sector is an immense undertaking, the payout for success is transformative, holding the potential to catapult India into the highest echelons of developed nations.Sengupta’s career is marked by key roles at some of the most prominent organizations in the Middle East and South Asia. In the BFSI domain, he was instrumental in shaping the technological landscape of leading institutions, including Al Rajhi Bank, one of the world\'s largest Islamic banks, the National Bank of Kuwait, and Burgan Bank. His work involved leveraging technology to enhance banking operations and drive digital initiatives. His expertise was further brought to bear on critical finance-related projects for industrial behemoths such as Aramco and the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation, where he tackled complex financial and technological challenges.Within the telecommunications industry, Sengupta was associated with Ooredoo, a leading international telecommunications company, navigating the rapidly evolving landscape of mobile technology and digital services. His foundational experience in the IT sector was honed at NIIT, providing the bedrock for his subsequent achievements in applying technology to solve complex business problems.In his current capacity, Sengupta has pivoted his focus towards the critical mission of digitalizing India\'s Architecture, Engineering, Construction and Operations (AECO) sector. He now serves as the Director General of the Confederation of Digital Construction Practitioners India (CDCPIndia) and concurrently as the Director General of the buildingSMART India chapter. In these pivotal roles, he is at the forefront of promoting the adoption of open standards, such as Building Information Modelling (BIM), and fostering a collaborative digital ecosystem.
