About Amit Enand

Engineering has been a passion of mine for years. I am fascinated in learning about how things work and finding ways to improve upon the existing foundation. I took my first computer science class out of curiosity but have stuck with it because of how many intriguing problems I face while learning about the new technology in the world. I started out at UNC-Chapel Hill working in Java then have transitioned to using Python, JavaScript, and Swift. While college provided me the opportunity to learn how to code, I built on that knowledge outside of the classroom. I worked on building a web scraper that would find the price of varying Magic the Gathering Cards. My favorite project was working on building a game for blind children to use on the iPad. While the project originated in the classroom, I worked on it for months afterwards to help the client put the game on the App Store earlier than planned. After graduating I moved to Cisco where I am focusing on building technical experience while also applying my engineering curiosity towards learning how the business functions and the problems that drive the code. Interests: Sci-Fi books, Soccer, CoffeeLanguages and frameworks: Java, Python, Swift, JavaScript, Agile, Git, MySQL, ReactJS
