   Lead the comprehensive quality evaluation of Qualcomm’s video solution using objective and subjective methods of analysis. Drive the collaboration with the video systems team to chalk out the test road map for legacy and new features on each chipset and aid the development and commercialization of the features Identify quality impacting features that are externally controllable in the encoder and intrinsic to the encoder and determine the apt configurations, input scene type of varying spatial and temporal complexity necessary to exercise the features to optimally assess the quality Leverage industry accepted objective quality metrics like VMAF, VIF, SSIM, PSNR implementations to compute frame level, average clip level quality scores and compute BD-rate data. Oversee the deployment of the test automation and execution of the quality regression tests Detailed analysis of the quality data across various contents, resolutions, codec classes and comparative analysis with predecessor chipsets and commercialized competitor solutions to identify trends in the data Subjective evaluation of quality by visually inspecting the quality for visual artifacts, conducting different viewing experiments and obtaining MOS scores Developing and training custom ML models to detect visual artifacts and deploying that in the quality testing to minimize the effort in subjective evaluation by making it more scalable Share and review the quality data with all the stake holders across the video organization to discuss the observed trends and any anomalies in the data to identify and highlight issues Partner with the systems team in evaluating Qualcomm video solution against alternative solutions for potential new product engagements Collaborate with the systems team in reproducing complex customer quality issues and evaluating quality on customer shared proprietary contents and their desired configurations and hence aid the quality improvement solution
