ABOUT AMITABHA GHOSH

Presently, I am working as a Professor of Practice and Program Head-School of Business at MIT Vishwaprayag University, Solapur, Maharashtra.I am also associated as an Expert Advisor at Datta Kundu & Associates, Chartered Accountants in Auditing & Assurance domain involving domestic & global assignments pertaining to audit, taxation, and accounting advisory services. My role also involves business promotion, development of client relationship and operational aspects pertaining to firm administration.As an academic enthusiast, I am engaged as Adjunct Professor in Finance at Bengal Institute of Business Studies (BIBS) in guiding, coaching and mentoring the MBA aspirants.I have previously worked as Director-Learning and Development at Uplift Professionals and involved self in promotion, content development and imparting of globally acclaimed professional courses-US CPA and US CMA. Spearheaded initiatives relating to process improvements in L&E function, mentoring & coaching course aspirants. Prior to my role at Uplift Professionals, I have worked as a Senior Manager-2 at PwC for 15+ years in insurance, asset & wealth management and real estate sectors, spanning global markets, including the US, UK, Canada, Australia and Caribbean territories.Expertise in managing large-scale audit engagements, leading teams of 100+ professionals, and delivering high-quality financial services. Proven track record in IFRS, US GAAP, risk assessment, compliance, and client management. Successfully led the growth of the Insurance Center of Excellence, tech-enabled audits incorporating efficiency and usage of digital tools like Alteryx, UI path and Tableau, transitioned to integrated audit models, optimized onboarding and training processes, improving team performance.Expertise in accounting system implementation for RCG Moody International across multiple countries involving coaching, mentoring of accounting staff and assisting in month end closing and reporting.
