Amit Vijaykar is now the Director - Legal in HPE. PAST EXPERIENCE - Amit Vijaykar was the Legal Global Service Center (LGSC) Lead for India and also the Legal Global Service Center Contracting Account Director. As the LGSC Lead for India, from 2009 to 2015, he has helped drive the growth of the team, the contract management group was then 4 legal professionals (in 2009), it is now made up of 250+ legal professionals (in 2015), that supports all of Accenture\'s major client contracts and provides services in multiple geographies. Amit was appointed, as the LGSC Contracting Client Account Director, in 2014, to take on leadership of the newly formed contracting team, within Legal, to support the expansion of their contracting support capability. This team was built to augment Accenture\'s push for increasing outsourcing from the onshore Legal contracting teams, with a mix of onshore and cost effective location based staff working with the onshore legal team, supporting Accenture’s non-complex contracting work. These dual roles have given him experience in building a strong management team, quickly develop skills and create a single team with a common goal across all of the geographies. Amit has also been recognized for his people management and team development skills with awards from Accenture Leadership. He has supported the growth of this team through mentoring, coaching, supervisory training and proactive development of their skills.
