Pacific Life Reinsurance (PL Re) are a global reinsurance company providing protection & savings & retirement products, who are one of the largest & most experienced in the longevity market, continuing rapid growth internationally & with client base stretching across the world from the UK & Europe to North America, Asia & Australia.I am a Solution Architect within the Enterprise Architecture (EA) function to help PL Re understand & build capability in Solution design & architecture to ensure that business requirements are met through effective technology solutions that evolve over time for the maximum business benefit at the lowest cost, including Cloud Migration, Content Management System (CMS), Data Quality, Digital, Finance Transformation, Master Data Management (MDM).• Reporting to Director of EA & Data Management, as well as Product / Programme / Project Managers• Using Confluence, Halo, Jira, Microsoft 365, Project, Teams, Visio & other administration, methodologies, productivity & software toolsMy responsibilities include:• Ensure architectural decisions are in alignment with the strategic directions of the business as well as PL Re policies, procedures & best practice guidelines, with particular focus on the Business Transformation programme• Close interaction with the Workstream Leads, business analysts, business areas & other functions to develop & maintain a strong understanding of the Back Office processes within PL Re• Ensure effective delivery of solutions from design through to implementation• Improve the EA function, methodology, standards, frameworks & approaches iteratively & drive maturity for the organisation with wider team• Understand the PL Re landscape & capability model working in support of the EA team to propose solutions that fit within or identify gaps that need investment / development, including but not limited to Appian, AWS, Azure, MuleSoft, OpenText, Oracle Fusion, SAP (Data Services, LRM, S/4 HANA), SnowFlake
