In my capacity as IT Architect & Service Integrator, I am managing the entire gamut of the operations and implementation of two regional data centers, each with 60 racks, operating on a global scale by Siemens and Mentor Graphics. I am supporting global network operations in a round-the-clock environment for offices in the APAC and Europe regions, with 50 sites and two regional data centers for Siemens & Mentor Graphics. I am designing highly available networks in data centers and across wide area networks (WAN) using protocols like Eigrp, OSPF, BGP, and MPLS. I am designing, setting up, and managing Siemens and Mentor Graphics Regional Data Centers, incorporating proactive management services using monitoring tools (SolarWinds, NetFlow). I am implementing campus networks using multi-Layer switches, VSS base switches, Stack switches, and Nexus switches with UDLD, VLAN, EtherChannel, CST, PVST+/RPVST+/MST, Stepwise Switching, VSS, HSRP, VRRP, GLBP, Layer 2 WAN Technologies (HDLC, VLAN, VTP, and STP. I am liaising with various vendors (CISCO, ORANGE, AIRTEL, TATA) to resolve hardware/configuration issues of links & circuits and issues related to Cisco devices at branch offices, back offices, and Data Centers. I am assisting in supplying specification details for the environments that support IT like power (UPS power), cooling (HVAC), racks, structured cabling, and physical room layout.
