As a Application Architect for one of my logistics client I was driving a large scale legacy modernization effort to a Cloud based solution using Microservice architecture. The application is a mission critical one and therefore High Availability was the most important Architectural goals. I was involved in this effort from the kick off till the production development. Some of the key highlights of my roles are Worked with business Architects and analysts to understand the legacy application and come up with the microservice decomposition strategies. Defined and developed the High Availability model for the microservices using Active-Active model. Defined the microservice application architecture using the Cloud native patterns. Defined the security architecture using Oauth, JWT and Spring security. Defined the Logging and Exception handling strategy for the Microservices. Defined the DevOps Architecture for a complete CI/CD pipeline using Docker, Kubernetes and Openshift. Defined the automation testing Architecture using Cucumber and Spring Boot. Defined and developed a Dashboard for message trace and monitoring the mircoservice health using Kubernetes API and Spring Boot.
