About Amit Kumar

I build AI-assisted engineering systems that make complex problems simpler to solve. Over 8 years, I\'ve worked across data engineering, cloud platforms, and automation — but the most interesting work I do now sits at the intersection of LLMs and software engineering. At Oracle, I designed an agentic AI pipeline that automatically detects and fixes SQL Server → Oracle ADB migration errors — errors that standard tools like Ispirer couldn\'t handle. The system uses Chain-of-Thought prompting and iterative reasoning loops to diagnose compilation failures and self-correct. I also built a utPLSQL validation platform for migration correctness and presented the solution to ~200 senior Oracle engineers. Before that, I built data pipelines and cloud migration systems at Xcaliber Infotech and Epsilon India across AWS S3, Azure ADLS, Snowflake, and SQL Server. Earlier at Mindtree, I worked on OCR pipelines, NLP entity extraction with spaCy, and ANTLR4 parsing frameworks — leading a team of four engineers. What drives me is a simple question: how much of a software engineer\'s repetitive work can AI actually take over? I experiment with LLM workflows, agentic systems, and developer productivity tools — and I write about what I learn here on LinkedIn. Currently exploring: multi-agent reasoning systems, AI-assisted debugging, and the future of database automation.
