About Amit Kumar Tiwari
I am Amit Kumar Tiwari, a development Sector Professional engaged in Financial Inclusion, Livelihood and empowerment arena for eight years now. The relevant grassroots level professional experiences have conditioned me to take up a career in the development, policy planning, and practice.My field works and work experiences have also sparked my interest in public policies around Institutional Strengthening of Development Policies to accentuate the gross development of rural communities and enriching their endowments. I am a Post Graduate in Rural Development Management from the National Institute of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, Hyderabad and I have completed my B. Tech from the BPUT. I am an organized, detail-oriented, and conscientious self-starter, with a passion for policy building and development practices. My area of focus and interest varies from development planning to project management. Currently, I am working as a State Financial Inclusion Coordinator for the Transformation of Aspirational District Program - NITI Aayog, Bihar. The majority of work involves driving and monitoring financial inclusion and related activities in the five districts for the Transformation of Aspirational District Program – NITI Aayog. I have also served as a Young Professional at West Bengal State Rural Livelihoods Mission – for two years. My duties included Implementation and management of the NRLM schemes at the block level, strengthen the eco-system of Incubation, Knowledge, and microfinance in the block, mentoring and monitoring block-level staffs, and supporting BMMU in implementing the program as per the policy guidelines. I have also served as Coordinator at Jharkhand old age homes and rehabilitation towards welfare of tribal society. I have demonstrated strong coordination and liaison skills with District Administration, engaging in meetings with bureaucrats (IAS officers, State Civil Servants, Bank Officials), and manifested the ability to work on an agreed plan, producing deliverables in an agreed timescale.
