About Amit Dounde
A passionate and enthusiastic engineer with good knowledge of the Back end ASIC chip design flow along with brief know-how of mask and OPC activities which take place after a design is taped out.With over nine years of experience in the semiconductor industry, mainly as a CAD engineer, I have gained broad understanding of physical design and verification/tape-out challenges that a designer has to deal with. During my course of employment at Intel I have supported numerous design teams across the globe in setting up tools and flows and coming up with innovative solutions to complex design issues. I also took ownership of many designs to ensure on time Tape-in of the project.Apart from my interest in chip design I enjoy Hiking, football and cricket. I am also working on my detective novel.Details about my work:Broad experience on PNR & FC flows, physical verification/convergence and FRAM builds. Supported multiple design teams of sizes varying anywhere from 5 to 50 people. This has helped me in improving my customer interaction skills and also enabled me to think out of the box for innovative solutions in a time bound and result oriented manner.Currently I am part of the Design to Tape-out (D2T) group at IMEC Belgium which explores advanced patterning solutions on future nodes like N5/N3/N2. As part of the design team my role includes designing complex Pcells with advanced feature sizes which are then OPC\'ed and fabricated. Along with this I currently manage and co-ordinate the curvilinear mask pattern exploration project.
