About Amit Chaturvedy
Amit is the Global Head and Managing Partner of SE Ventures, a €1B early stage VC fund backed by Schneider Electric, global leader in energy management and industrial automation for homes, buildings, data centers, critical infrastructure, and industrial facilities. Amit is responsible for driving the overall venture investing and startup ecosystem partnership strategy for SE Ventures. At Cisco Investments, Amit was the Global Head of venture investing in Cloud Computing, IoT, Data Center & Enterprise Networking and oversees all venture investing activities in Israel and LATAM. He brings nearly 20 years of professional experience in venture capital, private equity and corporate development.Under his leadership, the group invested in category defining companies such as Cohesity, Turbonomic (exited), Seeq, Cogniac, Isovalent, Bitstew (exited), Relayr (exited) and Prospera (exited) and acquired numerous companies such as ThousandEyes, Jasper Technologies and Sentryo that led to the creation of strategic partnerships, new business units and a company-wide realignment of strategic priorities for Cisco Systems. Amit also created the Aspire Fund, a new venture investment fund focused on diversity & inclusion.Prior to Cisco, Amit was a Director at Summit Partners for over six years where he led investments in US and Asia in several growth businesses with a focus on industrial sectors.Amit started his career as a R&D Engineer at Cummins Engines and moved to marketing where he led Customer Liaison Engineering activities and Program Management for the DaimlerChrysler (DCX) account, the single biggest account at the time for Cummins.Amit has an MBA from Harvard Business School, an MS in ME from Purdue University and his BTech in ME from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.Areas of Interest: Enterprise Technology, Cyber Security, IoT, Mobility, EV, Sustainability and Diversity & Inclusion.
