About Amit Chandrasekhar
I am currently the Director of Process Science at Cassava Sciences, providing oversight and technical leadership for development, manufacturing, and supply chain activities for Simufilam, a phase 3 drug being investigated to treat Alzheimer\'s disease. Previously, I have about nine years of pharmaceutical manufacturing experience at Eli Lilly and Company, both in engineering and operations roles. I supported both a Lilly E. coli fermentation facility, including supporting qualification and validation of a new $90 million facility, as well as a Lilly tablet and capsule manufacturing facility, which included Lilly\'s first GMP continuous drug product manufacturing line. I also led undergraduate engineering recruiting efforts for Lilly at the Georgia Institute of Technology. I earned a Master\'s degree in Chemical Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2012 and earned a Bachelor\'s degree in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2011. My professional interests include pharmaceutical manufacturing and manufacturing strategy.
