About Amit Chahar
I am a Staff Software Engineer with 9 years of experience in Full-stack development. I have extensive knowledge in developing micro-services using AWS tools such as DynamoDB, Lambda, infrastructure as code through CloudFormation and Cloud Development Kit (CDK), SQS, Step functions, Cloudwatch, QLDB, Kubernetes, Elastic Container Service (ECS), Elastic Container Registery (ECR), S3, SNS, CloudFront, Kinesis, Redshift, AWS Config, data pipeline and Key Management Service (KMS). I\'ve designed several complex systems in Java, Python, GoLang, C/C++, Node.js and Android. Implemented UI using javascript/typescript along with supporting libraries such as Bootstrap, jQuery, Ajax and JSP. In my current role at Snap, I have created systems that support a large user base and high TPS (transactions per second). I\'m always on the lookout to improve our system and reduce the Ops load. I also like to mentor new hires through 1:1 guidance and discussing best practices with them.
