Amit leads Strategy, Corporate Finance and Corporate Development for Ola & Ola electric. He partners with the Founder (Bhavish Aggarwal) and respective Company Boards in bringing strategic direction to the businesses as well as leads the corporate finance for the group including Equity, Debt fundraising, Treasury, M&A etc. Prior to his current role, Amit led Business Development and M&A for Airtel and Bharti Group Companies working directly with Group Chairman Sunil Bharti Mittal. Amit has always worked with first generation entrepreneurs. Before his current role with Bhavish, he was with Sunil Mittal in various roles for 18 years, during his previous stint with Airtel & Bharti. Amit has partnered with first generation entrepreneurs in building strategy and executing fast growth. In the last 24 months he has worked closely with Bhavish as Ola electric scaled up to be the iconic EV play in India. Similarly, he has been part of Bharti and Airtel\'s phenomenal growth and expansion for close to 18 years, shaping strategic direction of the companies. Apart from the scaling up businesses, Amit has led the Corporate finance - Equity, Debt, Capital markets and M&A at these companies. At Ola & Ola electric he has executed close to $2 Bn of fundraising/transaction (Equity/Debt) in the last 12 months at very attractive valuations for both companies and is leading the IPO readiness for listing. Has led several deals including multi-billion dollar ones, Key ones are - Deal-size USD 10 Bn+: Indus Tower formation, Acquisition of Zain Africa, Deal-size USD 1 Bn-5 Bn: Temasek, KKR, etc. in Infratel ($1.35 Bn), Temasek in Airtel ($2 BN), Sale of Airtel Africa Tower ($2.5 Bn), Vodafone’s investment in Airtel ($1.5 Bn) etc. Deal-size USD 100 Mn- 1 Bn : Several Transactions • Amit has worked on several corporate structuring as well as promoter shareholding enhancement structures, some of which are industry first in India. • Amit enjoys very strong relationships with funds across VC, PE and Capital market spectrum and has led fundraising that are largest in the PE space in India. He has led Equity capital market transactions in large listedcos of Bharti. Book-build of Infratel stake sale etc. • Worked on several strategic and growth initiatives, he has been part of Indus and Infratel Towerco creation, Africa passive infra sale and lease back, IT & Network outsourcing (all Harvard case studies). • Worked with CEOs and Board of businesses across sectors including Consumer Internet, EV, Fintech, Telecom, Towers, Insurance, Education, Renewable energy etc.
