ABOUT AMIT AMBEKAR
I work at the intersection of climate, sustainability, and public systems; helping organisations turn ambition into action in complex, real world contexts.Over the last 15+ years, I’ve worked across government, philanthropy, corporates, and civil society on issues ranging from climate action and ESG strategy to land restoration, biodiversity, urban systems, and institutional capacity building. My work has involved designing and managing large, multi-stakeholder programmes, advising senior decision makers, and supporting implementation where policy, finance, and on-ground realities meet.I’m particularly interested in how systems actually function; where decisions are made, where coordination breaks down, and why well intended solutions often struggle at scale. My approach combines research, stakeholder engagement, and hands on execution, with a strong emphasis on credibility, feasibility, and long-term impact.Alongside consulting, my academic training in environmental management and my research experience in India and Germany continue to shape how I think about ethics, power, behaviour, and ecological governance.I’m drawn to work that sits at the intersection of climate, public finance, and institutional reform; where progress depends less on ideas, and more on alignment, trust, and sustained execution.
