Developed an automated system for medical named entity recognition system from redacted as well as unredacted text for adverse event detection using Retrival augmented generation and fine tuning BERT transformer- Collaborated on a fully production ready OCR system ensemble consisting of Paddle-Paddle based and Virtual LM based OCR on accelerated virtual machine hosted on AWS instance achieving an character based accuracy of >90% with 97% fields presenting high confidence- Improved time latency of the internal product based system by a factor of 20x resulting in much faster inference of inputs bringing down the average latency down from 60 seconds to 2.89 seconds.
