Essar Bulk Terminal Salaya Limited - Dry bulk cargo Terminal having capacity of 12 MMTPA - equipped with 2500 TPH Screw Unloaders, TPH Conveyor System & Stacker cum Reclaimers.Responsible for operations and maintenance of mechanised material handling system and Cargo Operations - Vessel discharge / loading, Stockyard management, Road logistics and Cargo reconciliation. Coordination with Clients & Internal / External stakeholders.Commissioned Siwertell Screw Unloaders, 14 kms long high speed Conveyor system. Rectified equipment defects and improved equipment reliability. Developed & implemented Terminal Operations SoP, Preventive Maintenance Module for mechanised material handling system and equipment.Improved and sustained mt per day gross discharge rate at berth for all coal vessels, set a new benchmark by discharging 76,250 mt coal in first 24 hours from cape vessel.Improved gross margins; reduced overall cargo handling cost by efficient equipment operation and optimising processes & resources, reduced cargo handling losses by controlling spillage, smouldering & ground losses.Improved customer satisfaction by ensuring timely vessel discharge, contamination free cargo storage, timely cargo delivery, minimum handling losses and safety & security of the cargo at Terminal.Ensuring compliance with Customs Act, Pollution Control Board & Directorate of Industrial Safety & Health.
