During my internship, I had the opportunity to work on cutting-edge research in network simulation tools, focusing on dual connectivity scenarios. This project involved integrating the 5G LENA module for terrestrial 5G networks and the SNS3 satellite module for satellite communications.Key Responsibilities:Developed and simulated a dual connectivity scenario using NS-3 to connect a UE to both terrestrial and satellite networks.Configured and tested realistic 5G and satellite network parameters to ensure accurate simulation results.Conducted performance analysis, comparing metrics such as latency, throughput, and packet loss across both networks.Collaborated with senior researchers to optimize the simulation and produce detailed performance reports.This experience provided me with hands-on expertise in network simulation, performance analysis, and the integration of 5G and satellite technologies, furthering my passion for telecommunications and network research.
