ABOUT AMIR MAHAJER

I am a double board-certified physician in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine, fellowship-trained in Interventional Spine and Sports Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. I am the Founder and President of Osso Health in Miami Beach, FL — a physician-led practice built around the integration of precision diagnostics, advanced interventional techniques, and evidence-based rehabilitative care.I currently serve as President of the American Osteopathic College of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and as Subject Matter Expert for the American Osteopathic Board of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, where I contribute to credentialing standards and specialty direction for the next generation of osteopathic physiatrists. I also serve as Assistant Professor of Neuroscience at Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine, contributing to medical education and the student selection process.My research program includes active multicenter prospective trials in spine and musculoskeletal medicine, with scholarly contributions spanning peer-reviewed publications and book chapters with Oxford University Press, Human Kinetics, and Springer. I serve as a peer reviewer for the Journal of Osteopathic Medicine.Clinically, my expertise encompasses the full range of image-guided interventional pain and sports medicine. I am a nationally recognized authority in diagnostic and interventional neuromusculoskeletal medicine, with an active teaching and lecturing presence at national and international conferences.For referring physicians, I serve as a procedural and diagnostic partner for complex spine and musculoskeletal cases — communicating clearly, respecting the referring relationship, and providing comprehensive documentation of findings and interventions.I serve on the Physician Advisory Committee of the Medical Fitness Association (MFA) and am committed to advancing health and wellness through community engagement, medically integrated fitness, and the Exercise is Medicine framework.I welcome connections with colleagues in medicine, academic medicine, research, and healthcare administration.
