ABOUT AMIR SHAFAEI

I am a passionate Geo-environmental engineer with over 5 years of experience in the water and mining industry. I have a proven track record of delivering innovative and cost-effective solutions for a wide range of academic and industrial projects. My expertise lies in the flowing areas:• Geotechnical Engineering: conducting site investigations, analyzing soil mechanics, seepage analyses, subsidence and slope stability analysis • Hydraulic, hydrology, and hydrogeology: Numerical modelling and monitoring of groundwater flow, field investigation and sampling, conducting watershed and stormwater studies including stormwater treatment systems • GIS: Data entry and conversion, cartography, hydrological analysis (e.g, watershed delineation), • Remote Sensing: Long-term displacement monitoring and analysis (PSI, DInSAR), land classification, event tracking I hold a Ph.D. degree in Geotechnical Engineering and a Master’s degree in Water resource engineering. I am skilled in using advanced geotechnical and water resource modelling software ( COMSOL, GeoStudio; SIGMA/W, SLOPE/W, SEEP/W, Plaxis, HEC-GEO RAS, WEAP, PCSWMM, SWMHYMO, Stormcad) to perform complex analysis and simulations. I have worked on a wide variety of projects ranging from small residential to large infrastructure projects and have consistently demonstrated my ability to meet challenging project requirements and tight deadlines.I am a strong communicator and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
