ABOUT AMIRHOSEIN BEGMOHAMMADI
Passionate about studying coastal processes and computational fluid dynamics using numerical methods and applying this knowledge to build the resilience of our coasts to extreme events.I am working on development of a subgrid model for storm surge modeling. The subgrid corrections aims to improve lower resolution models that can be run far more quickly and efficiently than their high-resolution counterparts. The final goal of the project is the implementation of the subgrid model on the SLOSH storm surge numerical model in order to improve the accuracy of this model with a minimum additional computational cost. I also have an extensive experience to run ADCIRC.Beyond the subgrid model project, I had a strong background on two phase flow simulation using Lattice Boltzmann Method. Expertise and interests: Computational Fluid Dynamics, Numerical method in environmental fluid dynamics.
