About Amira Mustapha
Black mothers and their babies matter too; motherhood should not be a death sentence. In my new role as an Outpatient Care Technician, I assist medical professionals with providing high quality care to expectant mothers in an OBGYN outpatient setting. With a foundation in Public Health from Rutgers University, I bring a unique blend of academic knowledge and hands-on experience to address critical health challenges. My previous role as a Newborn Hearing Screener allowed me to utilize my interpersonal and organizational skills daily, ensuring newborns receive essential early hearing assessments. This responsibility, coupled with my dedication to Black maternal health, drives my ambition to make a significant impact on healthcare outcomes for mothers and their children.
