ABOUT AMIR RAD
Growing up, I would dismantle every toy/appliance/gadget at sight in an attempt to understand how and why they work the way they do. Just like everything in life, I succeeded at some and lost others. My broken toys were not enough to stop me, instead, I approached my next \"experiment\" with lessons from the failed ones to ensure success. I would attribute my greatest wins to my extremely inquisitive nature, which enables me to understand what exists and opportunities to reinvent and recreate. Starting my career as a Biomedical Engineer provided me with an opportunity to pursue my circuity into the biological level and human body. Soon I understood that there is a huge gap between technology and surgical procedures that can be addressed by interdisciplinary knowledge. As a Biomedical Engineer, I started the first Virtual Surgical Planning company in Iran. I had the pleasure to serve more than 80 CMF surgeons in Iran who has performed more than 500 surgical procedures. Soon I understood that a business can not be successful without a powerful business leader, so decided to pursue my education an MBA. I landed on a gold mine when I attended my first business leadership class and saw the need to combine my knowledge of people and systems with my desire for problem-solving. I enjoy applying negotiation principles, human-centred design and critical thinking to create innovative solutions and business ideas geared towards growth.
