ABOUT AMIR ORFALI

I am an aspiring software engineer and entrepreneur studying at the University of Western Ontario. My previous experience includes courses in both Python and Java. In these courses, I used a variety of packages and softwares such as Pygame, Greenfoot, and JavaFX to name a few. I focus primarily on object oriented programming and hope to deepen my knowledge extensively within the coming years. Additionally, I have experience mentoring and tutoring youth. I mentored tenth-grade students in math, covering all subjects of their curriculum, and also acted as a mentor for student life. I led multiple wellness activities for students, learning how to work effectively under the guidance of the class teacher and connect with students in a meaningful way. I played basketball competitively for over five years. In my senior year, I was named Sr. Boys Basketball MVP and a regional All-Star. My years of dedication and hard work in a team environment have developed me into a leader and a relentless worker, aiming to improve not only myself but also those around me. I have several years of work experience as a coach for youth, referee, and scorekeeper with Burloak Basketball, North Pole Hoops Inc, and Nucleus Sports Academy Inc.
