WORK HISTORY
Researcher @BT Group
London, GB
Worked with the optimisation team (in collaboration with the University of Exeter) on Operations Research problems. Involved in the development of approximation algorithms (such as heuristics, meta-heuristics and hyper-heuristics). Tasks included: 1. Development of evolutionary algorithms, meta-heuristics and hyper-heuristics.2. Building analysis plots using python (Mathplotlib and Seaborn). Scraping best-known results from websites for a comparison with the results generated. Extending a well-known open-source framework by developing some of the best performing heuristics available in the literature. Generating results of very high quality comparable with the state-of-the-art methods for a variant of the Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP).6. Presented my findings routinely to the BT team as well as the University of Exeter.7. Design and development of databases using JPA (i.e. SQL) to store the results of the experiments and optimisation runs. Conducted satistical analysis of the data using Microsoft Excel and python.Publication: Genetic and Evolutionary Computation Conference (GECCO) 2022: A Hyper-Heuristic Approach for the PDPTW.
