Corrosion Protection: • Participating in design and management of Cathodic Protection (CP) installations such as Sacrificial anodes, Rectifiers and ground beds. • Managing and coordinating corrosion control engineering projects. Preparing cost estimates & proposals, client interfacing, scheduling, writing reports, cost management, commissioning and other project products. • Gathering data (Pipe-to-soil potential, soil resistivity electrical continuity) and preparing reports and reviewing and approving process engineering designs, plans and specifications. • Designing and evaluating impressed current and sacrificial cathodic protection systems for various metallic structures such as licensed pipelines, above ground storage tanks and vessels within different oil and gas plants. • Participating in AC interference and mitigation Studies and developing engineering deliverables. Process Engineering: • Performed Hydraulic analysis and equipment sizing. • Performed PFD and P & ID development. • Experienced in Hysys, Pipesys and ASPEN Plus simulations. • Developed Heat and Material Balances (H & MB). • Prepared equipment and instrument data sheets. • Experienced in designing and sizing of Distillation and Fractionation Columns such as Crude and Vacuum Towers. • Familiar with licensed packages and engineering standards. Research and development: • Researched and developed catalysts for steam cracking of crude oil. • Designed and developed a burner for chemical looping combustion. • Performed thermodynamics and kinetics study of oxidation and reduction of fuels. • Graphed results and generated reports on a weekly basis. • Partook in presentations to elaborate on progress of the project and discuss issues with other team members. • Worked with Data Acquisition systems to collect data and work with spreadsheets to analyze the collected data Quality assurance: • Analyzed quality results to resolve quality issues. • Assessed the process of manufacturing pipes and recommended changes to optimize the process and maximize efficiency. • Analyzed the outcome of projects and ensured the results were converged to the company’s expectation. • Tested and optimized burning process by modifying the cooking time and purification percentage of the catalyst.
