ABOUT AMIR MOOSAVI
I am an assistant professor in the Department of English at Rutgers University-Newark. Before landing at Rutgers, I had taught languages, literature and history courses at Brown University, NYU, Bard College and Hunter College. My teaching and research focuses on modern Persian and Arabic literatures, and the cultural history and politics of the modern and contemporary Arab world, Iran and Afghanistan. I have one single-authored book, Dust That Never Settles: Afterlives of the Iran-Iraq War, published by Stanford University Press in 2025. I have co-edited multiple volumes and special issues of peer-reviewed journals and published articles on topics related to literature and cultural politics in Iran and the Arab world from the late twentieth century to present. Beyond teaching and research, I am available for consulting, editing and translation work.
