   In this role I worked in the Student Service Program Department at Sabic Americas as a senior academic advisor. I assisted advisors in their roles of helping the students as well as advising students myself to ensure a successful completion of their degree with good grades and starting their careers with Sabic. In my role I was able to identify areas of improvement and develop new procedures for monitoring student progress which enabled the department to be proactive. I also lead the internship program for the students to help them gain real work experience at Sabic affiliates in the US while still in school. Coming from a university background I helped the advisors to better understand the curriculum, the admission process, student records, and the challenges students faced making class decisions. I supervised academic advisors and assisted them in managing student crises when they arose. While at Sabic I was able to get trained in Lean Six Sigma with a green belt certification as well as in team leadership which I utilized in my role. One project I particularly take pride in was my work in the migration of student records from the previous database software, Sharepoint, to the new software, Portal. I participated for the design phase, testing of the new software, and the migration of all records.As a part of the team, I served on the interviewing committee for academic advisors and coordinators, assisted in yearly audits, and performed other operational activities.
