ABOUT AMINU AHMADU
I’m Dr Aminu Ahmadu – a lecturer, consultant, and trainer passionate about connecting academic knowledge with practical impact. My career spans higher education, healthcare training, and business consultancy, giving me a unique ability to bridge theory and practice. At the University of Roehampton, I serve as a Lecturer, leading modules in Global Marketing, Contemporary Issues in Project Management, and Supply Chain Sustainability & Resilience. I supervise research projects at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, provide pastoral mentoring, and design learning that prepares students for leadership and consulting careers.Beyond academia, I am the Founder of NEOACT Training and a GSA-accredited tutor in Prevention & Management of Violence & Aggression (PMVA). Through NEOACT, I deliver accredited programmes such as PMVA, Basic Life Support (BLS), Immediate Life Support (ILS), First Aid, and Moving & Handling. These are tailored for NHS trusts, hospitals, care homes, and supported living providers. To date, I’ve had the privilege of training over healthcare professionals from doctors and nurses to carers – helping them improve safety, compliance, and confidence in high-pressure environments.I also lead as CMO of Afmental CIC, a community-focused social enterprise advancing mental health awareness and culturally sensitive therapy for African and minority communities. This work reflects one of my deepest passions: promoting mental wellbeing in underserved groups and ensuring people feel supported, understood, and empowered to thrive.Alongside this, I serve with Lion Heart in the Community (LITC) as an Assessor and Internal Quality Assurer (IQA), ensuring vocational qualifications in business and healthcare meet NCFE and ATHE standards.I hold a PhD in Business Innovation, an MBA, and I’m currently pursuing a PhD in Economics at the University of East London (UEL). I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and hold global certifications: PMI-ACP, ISACA CISA, ISACA CISM, Level 4 IQA, and Level 3 CAVA.What drives me is simple: a commitment to helping people and organisations succeed. Whether that’s guiding a student through their academic journey, employability or dissertation, supporting an SME to innovate, training healthcare staff in life-saving techniques, or promoting mental health in minority communities my goal is to leave every learner, professional, and organisation stronger than I found them.
