ABOUT AMINA YOUNAS
Prior to diving into the exciting practice of criminal defense, I worked in corporate and securities law in Vancouver and acted for a variety of clients in the natural resources, energy and technology sectors in Canada and U.S, advising on a range of public and private company transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, public offerings and corporate reorganizations. I provided ongoing legal advice to public issuers regarding continuous disclosure obligations, corporate governance matters and general securities law compliance.I obtained my Juris Doctor from the University of Victoria and was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2022. I was awarded a significant scholarship to spend a year in Germany to study international law prior to joining law school, which contributed greatly to my understanding of legal systems around the world. I like to spend my free time in the nature, trekking around the world, and have a keen interest in ornithology.
