Plan and implement the most expedient means of filling vacancies by prioritizing a high volume of vacancies through consultation with the HR Business Partner Team and Hiring Supervisors• Build strong relationships with the HR Business Partner Team and Hiring Supervisors by consulting and collaborating on hiring needs• Analyze and confirm knowledge, skills, and abilities within position descriptions required to perform tasks are equitable and appropriate for the determined qualifying selection criteria• Provide input in the development and modifications of minimum qualifications for postings as requested by the HR Business Partner Team. Develop and utilize minimum qualification screening questions for each posting.• Partner with the Human Resources Business Partner Team and Hiring Supervisors to coordinate job postings in Recruiting Solutions and prepare postings. Ensure that vacancies are posted pursuant to bargaining unit contract language, MMB procedure and DEED processes/procedures•Review resumes and determine whether applicant’s meets the minimum qualifications for a position • Consult with Hiring Supervisors to ensure selection decisions for interviewees are consistent with law, bargaining unit agreements, veteran’s preference status and affirmative action goals. Provide advice to Hiring Supervisors regarding workers compensation and layoff lists, Connect 700, affirmative action and veterans• Finalize closure of vacancies by compiling and reviewing all documentation for each vacancy to ensure required pieces have been completed and received, update systems with incumbent information and appropriate applicant tracking and communicate with non-selected applicants regarding the status of the vacancy
