ABOUT AMINA DOUIDI

My role as a DEI consultant is to minimise the harm caused by systemic racism and inequity, all inequity in its intersectionality. I say \'minimise the harm\' because history is bigger than me. I cannot dismantle patriarchy, ableism and racism (alone), can I? but what I work with those who can: education policy makers, school leaders, curriculum designers, publishers and teachers. Together we can try to move the needle towards equity and inclusion. My approach: Co-establish research-informed DEI strategies and editorial policies in close collaboration with education providers and publishers. I support teachers and publishing professionals in implementing DEI and inclusive practices in their English and French curricula through reviews, training, and consultancy services. Do reach out if you need help with: Research and strategy My experience includes- Co-leading three research projects, investigating DEI needs, collecting, analysing and reporting on DEI-related data (e.g, test item banks) and suggesting actionable solutions for a Global Publisher- Leading a diverse talent sourcing project, which involved creating a communication and a research strategy which would allow to identify authors who can write authentically and inclusively about stories which are underrepresented in mainstream ELT publishing- Contributing with research-informed and practice-oriented in the writing of parts of the DEI guidelines for a Global Publisher. I am open to any project that would have an Equity and Inclusion focus in (language) education, particularly if it adopts a multidimensional and intersection approach (e.g, gender, race and ethnicity, socioeconomic status). DEI reviews My experience includes reviewing Education materials (E.g, chemisty books), children\'s books, ELT materials (textbooks, learner dictionary, high stake assessment items, etc.).
