Perform load flow and contingency analyses for 46 kV, 69 kV, 115 kV, 230 kV, and 500 kV systems as part of short-term and long-term transmission planning studies, ensuring compliance with planning events and system performance criteria. • Conduct long-term high-density load studies using PSS®E and TPT software, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in planning-related regulatory proceedings (e.g, MOD-001 and FAC-008), and prepare compliance documentation for submission to SERC. • Collaborate with utilities, ITS participants, and government agencies on grid expansion and infrastructure planning through working groups and technical meetings. • Evaluate existing transmission facilities serving MEAG participants, and initiate improvement projects to address load growth or enhance reliability in both short- and long-term horizons. • Coordinate the design, engineering, and construction phases for new or upgraded transmission projects identified during system or area planning studies. • Perform joint planning studies with ITS members and neighboring utilities to assess regional needs and ensure coordinated system development. • Meet with participants to assess concerns related to the existing transmission system. Review substation loads, load shed schedules, and transmission line performance to determine the timing of necessary system upgrades. Contribute to the ITS construction budget and forecast planning process. • Present and discuss the Annual Participant Transmission Report (APTR), which includes overviews of transmission and substation assets, feeder meters, system capacity, one-line diagrams, outage history, SCADA manual operations, and under-frequency load shedding (UFLS). • Maintain annual transformer data using load forecast software. • Provide participants with timely updates on projects that impact their system or are located near their facilities.
