ABOUT AMIE SNEDDON
Amie Sneddon has over 17 years of experience working as a geotechnical engineer for a variety of projects throughout Alberta and Scotland. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering in 2007 from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland. As a senior geotechnical engineer, Amie manages projects around the investigation or remediation of dams. She obtained a wide variety of project experience before this focus and continues to provide expertise as a project engineer and contribute to technical work. Passionate about problem solving, she finds pride in projects that give back to the community—like a flood barrier that protects downtown Calgary or working on dams that provide hydroelectric power and irrigation.Enabled by her curiosity, Amie is a firm believer of lifelong learning to continually improve and drive further exploration within the industry. She encourages engineers to stay curious, learn new skills, and keep on top of the most current information.
